On June 26, 2008 a regional court in Munich ruled that the Shuanghuan CEO SUV, a vehicle that shares a resemblance to BMW’s X5, is no longer allowed to be sold in Germany. According to the judgment made by the court, German dealers have to stop selling Shuanghuan CEO, destroy the present cars and compensate BMW for corresponding losses. BMW has lost a similar court action in Italy that claimed the CEO infringed the German carmaker's copyright. On December 10, 2008 a court in Milan rejected BMW's claims. The Shuanghuan CEO is continuously sold in Italy through Martin Motors. CEOs are further distributed in European countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
